And the big question, do any of you do gridcoin at all?  Or do you not speak of it's evil here?  :P  

Not that I know of.. Many of us here want no part of any crypto coin.
We try not to speak of any *coin team here. Why would we?
The EVGA BOINC crunching team pretty much started by people who were tired of Pande group and the way they treated donors.
It is a place to crunch with no expectations on anyone, crunch what and when you want.
Tired of chasing points, dealing with the folding forum and all the stuff that goes with it.
 
Some of us enjoy challenges and the sprints, which in a way it is chasing points, but you don't have to do it.
We are happy coming in 5th place, or in 6th place.

I began folding 10yrs ago as of this month actually. Stanford has not changed their habits at all, same BS with their forums and placing the blame on the end users. WU server failures and all that other garbage that goes with it. I will most likely not be back to Folding, I will stick with BOINC and the research that actually does publish and update their findings. Granted not all have to do with diseases and I am OK with that.

 Gridcoin is a lot less about the money than CureCoin or FoldingCoin, as even a well-optimised setup doesn't do much more than cover it's electric usage.
 On the other hand, as I've mentioned elsewhere, I was doing RC5 (and DES and CSC) work for 19ish years before joining Moo Wrapper and Gridcoin made it possible FOR me to get the electric cost covered....
 
 I think I've learned a bit about the subject of RC5-72 in the last .... 3922 days, AKA well over a decade, I've been working with that project.
 
 Now, off to see if I can get Canonical to get around to updating their BOINC version in the repository - they're STILL distributing 7.6.22 when it's been outdated for months now....

Gas stations are already selling out all over the sarasota/bradenton area. Storm's not even close yet. Everybody is panicking. Nobody has bottled water anymore. Just crazy.

I'm gonna end up running out of gas.. gonna be hard to work over the next few days with no gas..

Yes I am in St. Petersburg and drinking water is scarce will fill some gallons from the tap and I have 2 store bought gallons and a bunch of bottled water - gonna play it by ear for a day - still plenty of gas here.
