I have a Seasonic platinum 660W PSU still in warranty that technically could handle a 3080, but I probably would still upgrade to an 850W just to know I won't have to think about it at all.
Whats the rest of your system? Technically, any very well made 650w could work for a 3080. The problem was that lesser units were not handling the transient spikes, and shutting down. It even affected some decent 750w units, but better PSU's didn't have issues. Your Seasonic platinum could be worth trying out before spending more money. Test it stock to see, then do a small undervolt to give more peace of mind. I'm pretty sure with a basic CPU/GPU undervolt (everyone should do that for temps/noise/longevity IMO), it would work fine. If you plan to really OC that card (there's not a ton of room), and CPU, you'd want that 850w unit, but a real good 750w might cover you depending on the CPU.
