I can appreciate his talent. But let's not forget Mike Portnoy. IMO his technique and talent needs respect :)

Think I have seen that video, he is fast, speed is not everything though. When it comes to drummer's, my favorite is, and always shall be, Neil Peart. The man is a machine, his technical skill is amazing.


Looking back at music, mainstream music is crap compared to what was put out by bands like this.


RUSH equivalent has no equal in rock history, not excluding Zep or AC/DC, except RUSH just put out a new CD that plays on SIRIUS Octane channel by listeners choice.  As Octane DJ's asked the Octane audience if RUSH current stuff should be on Octane and it became apparent, RUSH is still current.   SIRIUS Octane channel only plays new rock metal for those not familiar with its format.
 
I always believed and know from my experience in 50yrs of rock that Neil Peart is the best drummer to ever exist.  Almost every drummer knows this anyway.

I think Rush modern day counterpart would be "System Of A Down" if they can keep the band together..
