There are actually a few 49in 32:9 monitors currently available. I chose this one because I found it on sale at Amazon for $699 and I couldn't resist  
 
And yes gaming on this thing is amazing. It's like having multi monitor surround without the intrusive bezels mucking things up. I switched back to a single monitor setup some time ago after support for both Nvidia Surround and AMD's Eyefinity started to drop off and have been longing for the days for support to be reignited. I went to a 21:9 setup for about a year and was somewhat content but knew something was missing. The 32:9 isn't as wide as a true multi monitor setup like I used to have but not having any bezels is really nice.
