We spent nearing $1,000 on our daughter's 6th birthday party yesterday - that was a fully catered private 'event' at an indoor kids playground place - included all food for kids and their parents (and good food too, including big birthday cake), face painting, games, ball pit, foosball, climbing wall, big indoor jungle gym type thing etc etc., a photographer (who managed to take over 600 photos, and surprisingly most were very good), 3 staff looking after the kids so the parents could sit down and eat and chat in a separate room for a couple of hours, a 'disco' complete with lighted dance floor... it was actually pretty awesome.
