iCX sensors and EK waterblock?

Do the 2080 Ti FTW3 iCX sensors function through PCIe? If I strip the card to water cool with an EKWB RTX Vector do the iCX sensors continue to function?


 
Maximus XI Hero, 8700K 5Ghz delid, EKWB Custom loop ,Dominator RGB 3400Mhz 16GB, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 EK Vector, Seasonic Prime Platinum 1300W, Asus PG349Q 34" 120hz G-Sync, Phanteks Eclipse P600S.

    iCX sensors are built onto / into the card  - not the cooler
     
    You would need to use EVGA X1 software
