At cpu-z test I've realized that cpu does not boost up to single core to 4.7Ghz but staying at 4.3. Is there a setting at bios?

Any idea?

Are you sure you're only stressing one core? If yes, make sure your bios is set to default settings.

I'm about to make a new post for this problem with a resolution.  I have experienced this issue with my I7-8700k since I got it along with my Z370 FTW mobo.

Go into the BIOS/UEFI settings. Go to CPU and you will see "C7 state" set to auto. Change that to enabled and then your CPU will start hitting 4.7ghz immediately upon the next bootup.

    3080 FTW3 Ultra, Hero XIII, 11900k, Samsung 980 PRO 1TB, Acer XB270HU 1440p/144hz, Evga Supernova 1000w platinum.

There's no option for "C7 state" on 1.08 BIOS. Under CPU settings -> "CPU C States - Enable" -> "Enhanced C States", which includes C7.

I believe the FTW board (at least mine does this) throttles VRM current if you do not select XMP. Try enabling XMP. Also make sure you manually input VCCSA 1.05-1.15v and VCCIO 0.95-1.05v as selecting XMP will also automatically overvolt them.

To check if you're getting throttled, open up intel XTU, add VRM throttle to the display and run Prime95 or Cinebench and see if whats actually going on. From XTU you can also increase current to 255A to ensure you're not getting throttled because of that.

I'll be damned. I thought I had the latest BIOS. I'll update and report.

**My CPU hits 4.7Ghz with XMP.  I didn't have to change any other setting. I thought I applied that update already.  Nice :)  Thanks.

I wish I could start XTU on my install. Whenever I try to start it, it refuses to open, complaining another performance utility is running. I have no idea what that would be. I uninstalled e-leet but that made no difference.

XTU will do that if most programs that run any special kinds of instructions are running. Obvious stuff like e-leet, MSI afterburner, maybe even HWmonitor will cause it to do that. Especially when they're both trying to load at the same time.

Try doing a selective startup and de-select startup items in msconfig. This way, only services will start up and go from there. If it works there you know its something thats starting up with windows. If that still doesnt work, go back to msconfig and try diagnostic startup, which puts you down to just basic devices and services. If that still doesnt work, start looking at what services you have running and try systematically stopping one (not disable) and then try to start XTU. You may need to force shutdown XTU and its services in between each of these steps.

I have the latest 1.08 bios. My memory stick is working XMP Profile1. Looaded and works OK, although the voltage is high for memory.

What is the relation with cpu single core throttle to XMP?? I dont know or dont see any????

CPU still does not throttle to 4.7 bith single core tests. And it stays at 4.3Ghz.

I'm confused, does your CPU throttle? It will say if its current or VRM heat throttling in XTU. Have you set the multiplier to Manual and EIST enabled?
