You use the 6+2 PCIe Cable you just leave off the 2-Pin part for the 6-Pin and for the other connector you put the 6+2 together to create the 8-Pin, you must connect Both the 6-Pin and the 8-Pin on your Graphics Card.
If you do not have the two type cables or connector with your current Power Supply then you will need to buy a new Power Supply.
What is the Make and Model Number of your Current Power Supply?

Do not use the EPS/CPU 8-Pin Cable for your Graphics Card, some EPS/CPU Cables are 2 4-Pin Connectors that make up the 8-Pin EPS Connector.

    • Minimum of a 550 Watt power supply.
    • An available 6-pin PCIe power connector and an available 8 pin PCIe power connector
    • Total Power Draw : 175 Watts

    OK

Forget about converter cables, and just buy a new psu. Using converter cables just creates another failure point.

You have a KENTEK 680W PSU?..Get rid of that el cheapo thing and buy a decent unit that has all the correct/needed connectors.

You can use the EVGA Power Meter or the OuterVision PSU Calculator to estimate your system wattage need and see some recommended PSUs.

The OuterVision Calculator is more detailed..If you use the EVGA Power Meter you'll receive a 10% off discount code (with conditions, and if EVGA still has the offer like they used to) in your email toward an EVGA PSU.

Yes never go for a chap PSU even if it says it has the watts.
As others have stated the PSU is the most important part of any machine, you can cheap out on any party but never the PSU.
Anything like the FSP Group Hydro G, the Seasonic G series or EVGA's own G3 series should all do.
I say go for either the FSP or Seasonic as both are actually at good prices right now.
My PSU the SeaSonic SSR-650RM is currently $72 (plus tax)
Still a good price :D (not afraid to suggest a competitor as hey money is a concern for some people, plus its a damned good PSU sure not fully modular but it is really good)

One thing about a good quality power supply is they last a long time. It’s why EVGA is offering a 12 year warranty on some of them. I have used the same power supply for three builds before I decided to replace it and that was just to go fully modular.

Seems fine to me I mean sure pairing the ryzen 3 2200 G with the RTX 2070 is a little odd but it should actually function pretty fairly although you may want to upgrade your processor to the ryzen 5 2600 in the near future so you would have more core and thread count and take advantage of the 2600 and it's actually quite good gaming performance

I mean it's not necessary but it is something to consider as I'm very unaware of any real benchmarks pairing the ryzen 3 2200 G with the RTX 2070 so how well the card will interact with it is uncertain but I can't imagine any real drastic bottlenecking here thanks to the ryzen architecture and how current the processor is

Could probably stand some TLC in this department too, considering you new GPU has the same amount of memory as the rest of your system
