Freshly built PC with H370 stinger with new Radeon video and SSD, 32GB Corsair, 500w power. Struggling with fresh install Win10. I boot to USB drive with Media tool, I can boot to usb and initiate install. Computer reboots and hangs after bios posts A2, a spinning wheel appears, spins a little, the keyboard lights up, then the spinning wheel freezes on the stinger h370 background and system locks up. I tried with and without CSM, internal video disabled, quick boot off. Video card appears in bios and everything looks good there with cpu/ram. Nothing else is hooked up other than wifi card. Tried removing SSD and try a spinning disk, no go.
I have used the same media tool on several PC upgrades but not a fresh install. Also tried with an 10 yr old evga Gforce card, same result.
Please advise.

Have you tried going the Rufus way? I've never had a problem with installation medias created with Rufus. Not sure if it has anything to do with that but maybe it is worth a try. (edit:just noticed cant post links - a gooogle search will do

What type of boot setup in bios, Legacy or UEFI?

I will give RUFUS a shot.
I tried default bios settings with UEFI and legacy. Pulled the SSD I can see the windows file system on another PC.
I ran Memtest all night, had some errors...pulled 1st stick, no go.
    Image ->

Tried old school Win 7 install from DVD with legacy boot, CSM enabled, loaded files, rebooted, locked spinning wheel on windows logo screen.
Tried older school load PE Win XP mini from UBCD, got a blue screen.

Attempted another fresh install. On black windows boot screen I press F8, boot to safe mode. I can then get to the blue install screens, hit Install Now. Windows is copying... get the the checkmark screen, all good, computer reboots. Pull the usb out, boot to HDD. Get the blue windows screen, spinning wheel freezes once again.

Try doing the install with only one stick of ram installed. Test all sticks of ram that way.

Try connecting your ssd to a different sata port. Use a different sata cable too.

Disconnect all drives except the boot drive, and retry with one stick of ram as advised by Sajin. Should the fail happen again disconnect all USB items except keyboard and mouse.

Sure, as long as the CPU has graphics..But you need to take out the video card so that the mobo will auto-switch to using the processor graphics, otherwise it will use the video card unless you manually disable it in the BIOS..Just clear CMOS and take the card out if your CPU has graphics.

Are those mem timings auto or manual? Seem a little off to me. Do you have a partition tool you can boot with to remove everything and start fresh? You need to wipe the windows boot loader and start fresh.

Tried new evga PS, other was from older evga build with same boot problem, same results. Dang was banking on that was it. Did the rufus on a diff USB drive. Same results. Disconnect ssd, boot to thumb drive, I see the led showing activity like it's doing something and it freezes. I dont see where the CPU supports video on Intel box. It's a 1151 300 series.

Wish there was more verbose logging on screen instead of a silly spinning wheel. This is an OS not javascript loading. Is there some magical key to press for verbose option? I'm thinking windows bootmgr.exe is trying to get UEFI data from the motherboard, its periferials and not getting a response or getting corrupt data.

There's no need to use Rufus when you Create Windows 10 installation media because the tool will format and create Windows installation media that is bootable..Rufus might mess it up somehow.

Use the option to create installation media to install Windows 10 on a different PC (To install a new copy of Windows 10, perform a clean installation, or reinstall Windows 10.)

Put the flash drive in, restart, and then in the BIOS -> BOOT section, set the First Boot Device to be the flash drive, or, press the Esc key (I think that's the hotkey) on the keyboard to bring up the Boot Selection Menu during POST and then select the flash drive to boot from.

But before you do all that, clear CMOS and leave everything at default settings.

See how that works for ya.

If it still appears to be stuck, just let it sit for while, maybe an hour..If nothing happens then, there's an issue.

    1) Please only use the Win10 ISO generated from Create Windows 10 Installation Media. Do not use other sources.
    2) Extract all files from Win10 ISO to a FAT32 USB disk (need 8GB).
    3) Boot the USB disk to install Win10 to your SSD. I recommend you use a M.2 SSD instead of a SATA one to avoid SATA cable problem.
If the issue still happens, then either CPU or MB is broken.
If not, then your Win10 installation source is damaged.

If you bought the board from the evga store the board is suppose to come with the latest bios already installed. When did you buy the board?

Correct, you wouldn't be able to get to the bios if your cpu was completely toast. No, it doesn't show the version on the box. Yes, you can send the board to evga to have it updated.
