gtx970 acx basic version

Hello all, my fan does not spin and the card can only display through dvi but not hdmi.
Also i can't install gpu drivers. Nvidia says failed to install drivers.

    Thanks for the reply. I've tried DDU but still fails to install driver.

    Try the video card in another PC if possible.

    Yeah I guess i'm gonna have to try that. Just tried installing geforce experience and that also says it can't install

    I just installed another graphics card that I know works fine into my current computer and discovered that windows also does not recognise it in device manager and thus I can't install the driver as well. Could this be related to my OS installation?

    It could be an operating system issue. It could be a motherboard issue. It could be a CPU or CPU socket issue. It could be a motherboard BIOS setting/version issue. It could be user error. There are a lot of things it could be.

    Knowing more about your computer -- especially your motherboard and power supply -- would help us help you.

    Sounds like a motherboard issue to me. You may have a faulty pci-e slot.
