So I have a pretty complex setup but ultimately I have a fully custom water cooled pc. I have an i9-10900k overclocked to 5.1 all core but slightly undervolted usually around 1.38V and my 3080 FTW3 ultra overclocked +65 core, +1000 mem, 64gb ram overclocked beyond XMP to 3800MHz, aorus z490 ultra, and the EVGA 1000W G+. This never used to be a problem but lately when playing new world or far cry 6 after a few hours of gaming the computer will lock up and the screens will go black with some artifacts on hud elements. No blue screen and no error message. At this point the computer restarts itself. I haven’t changed CPU or GPU clocks or voltages in a while so I’m not sure why suddenly This is happening. It’s the exact same
Type of crash each time but I can’t pinpoint what’s causing it and no blue screen or error message. Without these I would think it’s GPU related but sometimes the computer recovers from that and you’ll see the screens flash back on but in this case it locks up and restarts. It’s super hard to recreate because it seems To take hours until it happens like something is heating up. But with full custom cooling and checking every temp from mobo VRMs to GPU memory, etc. nothing is ever even close to considered hot. These overclocks have been stable for months and months so it makes me wonder if the PSU is going bad even though it’s a year old? Not good with the windows event viewer so it’s hard for me to figure out what’s causing the crash but that would be a huge help. It’s a very difficult process to remove every overclock or voltage change and then test for hours and then slowly introduce them and see what causes it. It would take a week given that it take an hour or more until a crash. PCould I have mounted things too tight and somehow the heat is causing it to bend too
Much or something? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Are you getting a hot spot inside your case? Did you move the case to a diff local?
Stable for that long indicates a failure some where exhaust fan
or perhaps I hate to say it psu, Take the side of the case off and see
what happens js trouble shooting mind u

Back up all of your overclocking settings on all components, and have them run at stock defaults.

Does it still cause screen blackouts?

I doubt overheating is your issue as computer hardware doesn’t take hours to heat up. 15 minutes is more than enough time to get things to overheat if you have an issue. Sounds like unstable oc’s, or a gpu issue.

Taking your system to default settings should be the first thing to check as recommended by forum member green_tea

If CPU is 0% OC, Mobo and Ram compatibility.
Compatibility issues that were common between the Starting lineup Mobo and Latecomer Ram.

Are the PSU fans spinning sufficiently?
Try to put airflow from another fan (8cm/3.1inch or 12cm/4.7inch) into PSU intake.

I would guess that ,as per usual, as all electronics age they diminish slightly in their capabilities ...so what was once a solid overclock.. something can no longer handle it now and is crashing.
Your best bet is to notch down your OC .  If you want to try each item at a time to try to narrow it or drop them all by a hair ..

A case of Long-Hair wrapped around that Cooling-Fan, Reducing the Rotation Speed.

I think is a PSU issue. Are you sure that you have energy enaught?
