I have had my 1060 for about a year now and only ever used one monitor with it, a Samsung SyncMaster 2253LW connected via DVI. I have never had any problems. Recently, I got a second monitor and was hoping to run a two monitor setup. I have never gotten both monitors to work at the same time - I have tried using the Nvidia control panel to set up multiple displays, but it never recognizes a second monitor, and Windows doesn't either. I have tried 3 different monitors and all of them have worked individually, with different cords, so I know it is not an issue with any of the monitors or the cords. I have tried using DVI, a Displayport -> DVI cable, and an HDMI cable and all of them have worked individually so I know that each output works, but a second monitor is never recognized. If I have 2 monitors plugged in, my BIOS will start up on the DVI monitor, and then when it gets to the Windows welcome screen, it switches to the HDMI monitor and doesn't recognize the DVI monitor anymore. All of my drivers are up to date, Windows is up to date, and I cannot figure out what must be happening to prevent my second monitor from being recognized. Any ideas?
