Needless to say, I'll keep on keepin' on and keep the fingers crossed for future hardware luck.

Hey Grampa I thought about it. Was not sure the worth with 6180 chips.

Using [H] OCNG BIOS will allow you to take advantage of XMP memory profiles, which could better align your memory timings with motherboard decreasing your TPF.  I believe it fairly common to see a 12% - 15% overclock increase in performance on the 6180SE. Remember every clock increase is multiples by each core so x48!!!

I can't seem to overclock my i7, but had no issues with the Ubuntu & OCNG once I got a solid power support.

    Slower then the 6180se's
by 1 minute tpf for 13:50.

One thing about it if you keep thinking that way it is good for us over at the [H]
The odds are pretty good you will be able to get at least 15% OC on them some are getting 2.8+ on the 80's, You have the 212's already so you are 1/2 the way there. Remember as bowlinra said it is X48 so that is quite a bit of performance.
