Hi, just want to know how to access the bios on Z170 motherboard in windows.  thanks  john

    If you are trying to access the BIOS settings from Windows, this is not possible. If you are trying to flash the BIOS to a new version from windows, follow the instructions (step by step exactly) in the first post of this thread: https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2750723 . I always recommend flashing the BIOS from a USB stick directly in the BIOS instead of the windows method.

    I will add there is a built in app to the BIOS to import the updated BIOS.  This means you only have to have the new BIOS on a formatted memory stick and then just follow the app to complete the update.

    what are you trying to get to in the bios? you can do some overclocking from windows using the eleet app but i would still do that from the bios itself

    ASK the BIOS writers some time  why you can not read the bios and the saved bios parameter files and get a display that looks like the UI you see when in the bios
     
    but NO you have to get a smartphone and take a picture of EVERY bios page to be able to restore setting on the next bios update

    Not necessarily true, you can save your bios profiles to a USB stick and reload them after a update
