i got the new evga 2080ti ftw3 on monday and installed it. shortly after that presicion x1 said i needed a firmware update which i did. a couple days ago i decided to try out dolby vision since i wanted to see how it looked with this new card. dolby vision is a high end type of hdr and only battlefield 1 and mass effect andromena support it(as far as i know). i used to use it with my 1080sc with no problem. so i tried it on the new card and it wouldn't keep the tv in dolby vision mode. it would briefly try to go to dolby and then swap back to normal which of course cause a wierd looking pic on the tv. i originally thought the tv was the problem since it has gotten a firmware update or 2 since i last used dolby and thought that there was no way that my new gpu was causing the problem. just to be certain though i stuck my old msi 970 in my pc to test it(my 1080sc is currently in rma). to my surprise it worked perfectly in dolby vision. i never tried dolby before the firmware update on my gpu so i don't know if that may have broke it. does anyone have any idea what's going on here?
