Both the sata and the usb header is connected - and the DG software still cannot detect a "usb Hid" device?
- I installed the software through a forum link is there a newer version or something i'm missing here possibly the 3.0 connector?

The connectors a female lead - my motherboard is also a female lead and i don't have a converter could this be the problem?

I'll take a look - just installing the beta sofware to see if that resolves the connection issue.  Nope still an issue. im going to give support a call.

BINGO ---> SATA power connector for that, and the USB 2.0 cable is used to control it.

    Page 4  (excerpt)

Flipping the chassis onto its roof, and looking up by the I/O panel, we see a bonus addition to the DG-77. This is an RGB control center for the chassis. It allows any RGB device to be added into the loop, and with K-Boost software, they are all controlled at once

To power the RGB LED control panel, EVGA uses a SATA power connector for that, and the USB 2.0 cable is used to control it. In the other section, which comes from the front I/O panel, we have the HD Audio, native USB 3.0, and the switch and LED leads.

The 2.0's apparently won't control it, I guess I have to get a female to male converter for the 3.0 cable as my asus board has a female end and so does the dg77 case... shrug.

Seems odd that the motherboard has female but clearly in that case it’s worth getting the converter. The other option would be getting a converter to run it out the back to a standard USB port but that is probably less then ideal. Or if you want you could get a USB add in card as some have an internal header.

Yea the 2.0 is plugged in from the sounds of it the 2.0 is the rbg controller which allowed the lights to even turn on... But unfortunately the software didn't pick up. I called support and it didn't seem like the guy had a clue.

2.0.0 doesn't work for the current version of windows ( atleast not for me ) - BUT - 1.07 does  ! so if anyone is trying to get their software working try a different product release other than the new one!

YOU DO NOT NEED THE 3.0 USB cable connected to your motherboard for LED CONTROL - ONLY THE USB 2.0!
