Just bought the EVGA GQ 650w Gold rated semi modular. Since being installed it has made a strange clicking noise not always only sometimes, generally when in games. then it would stop and start continually. Any idea what could be wrong with it? or suggestions on how to stop it? very annoying when relaxing

    Hello Jamie,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your power supply. Have you tried running the system with 'ECO Mode' off? By default, with ECO Mode, the fans are set to turn on if a certain temperature/load is reached. Depending on ambient temperatures and perhaps background processes, this can cause the PSU to turn the fans on intermittently due to either hitting temperature threshold or load threshold. The clicking noises may be related to the relay opening and closing (activating and deactivating the fans). Please feel free to send us a quick email support@evga.com or contact us directly through our 24/7 Technical Support Line 1 (888) 881-3842 should you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,
    Thomas N.

Hi I have the same problem and this did not work. I think it might be my new graphics card as no problems with the old one.
