with most of the discussion on the melting power cables.
i was wondering if ne1 did a noise level test for the 4000 series card models yet

i know nvidia has really stepped up their game with the founder edition, and Gamer nexus did a great video on that
but i haven't heard much about noise level charts between the air cooled brands compared to each other for the same 4090 vs 4090 and  eventually 4080 vs 4080 when those release

evga ftw used to be the best but since they are staying the hell out of this current mess. i was wondering if ne1 knew of a noise lvl list

assuming no overclocking and ideally no melting

These 4090s have similar power consumption during gaming as 3080 ti (around 400w) for non oc with insane coolers. By far the most silent card I have ever had. Basically fan noise is no issue for noc oc situation. If you undervolt then it can mean that fans even will not spin during gaming. It also means that coil whine is massive issue now because one will hear it. Fortunatelly my card is ok. Idle consumption is smaller that 3000 series, about 20w only for 4k. 4090 is very efficient card, very nice.

I have Gainward which has double ball bearing. Some people have some noise with those, but my card is ok. I would personally buy FE, but it is not sold here. Some manufacturers have issues with coil whine, but I do not know, maybe it is combination of PSU and card.

If you want 100% silence then still it would be better for you to buy with possibility of return, because card might have some issues with coil whine or fans, etc.

But it you will have non oc card with 450w limit then rpm of fans should be very low. As soon as you unlock things and oc then it will change.

Seems reading many reviews that any card can have coil whine, not just one MFG. and seems to be a unlucky straw pull. Get what you want and its just a lottery if you get a noisy card but by all accounts they are all pretty decent.

This is a very interesting question. I know some of the 4090 owners will be able to answer/chime in.
EVGA is out of the GPU business but after seeing Gamers Nexus tear down video, is EVGA planning to keep building the EVGA coolers for THE GPUs in the coming future? Like a type of accessory in case the consumers will like to get one and replace it with the factory one?
The iCX coolling is a well competitive cooling design that cannot go to waste.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.
