My husband (Nereus) built this for me to replace my X79 build and the giant HAF-X case it was in. It's beautiful and compact. Love it. He will post pictures here after my post.

Here it is. Not a lot of room in there, but this shows you can fit a 140mm radiator with push & pull fans in the front of a Corsair 250D case with room to spare.
I have not done 3DMark benchmarking yet, will do that soon (and add it to her ModsRigs once bench done).
Everything is set on stock specs. The push/pull fans on the radiator are the only fans used in the case, and it runs very quietly, idles around 35°C with ambient room temp at 77°F.
I may switch the cooler to a H100i depending on how well the H90 performs once we have new desks (the rig won't be in such an open space as it is now).
Very happy with this build, booted on first try, no problems at all from start to finish.

    Parts used:
Intel i7-4790k CPU @ 4.0GHz base clock, 4.4GHz boost clock.
Corsair H90 CPU liquid cooling (140mm radiator).
Aerocool 'Dead Silence' 140mm blue fans x2 for radiator, no other fans used with this build at all.
    G-Skill Trident X memory 16GB (2 x 8GB) @ 2400MHz, 10-12-12-31 (using XMP).
EVGA GeForce GTX-980 (with the Titan cooler) 1126MHz base clock, 1216MHz boost clock.
    EVGA Z87 Stinger mini-ITX motherboard.
    Corsair AX850 modular PSU.
Corsair Obsidian 250D mini-ITX case, black.
    Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD.
    WD Caviar Black 2TB HDD.
    23" LG Flatron E2350V monitor (1920x1080).

Strongly considering going the same way for my own rig when the new EVGA Z170 Stinger comes out.. maybe drop a Titan X in there, although a 980 Ti should be good enough. Would be my first rig without SLI for many years though... which reminds me, I still haven't posted my Corsair Air 540 build.. it's quite beautiful (imo). Better get onto that.

I've made a few updates to my Mrs' system, but not enough to warrant a new build thread. Changes in red, mostly salvaged from other builds:

Intel i7-4790k CPU @ 4.0GHz base clock, 4.4GHz boost clock.
Corsair H90 CPU liquid cooling (140mm radiator).
Aerocool 'Dead Silence' 140mm blue fans x2 for radiator, no other fans used with this build at all.
    G-Skill Trident X memory 16GB (2 x 8GB) @ 2400MHz, 10-12-12-31.
EVGA GeForce GTX-980 EVGA GTX 980Ti SC (blower cooler) 1329MHz base clock.
    EVGA Z87 Stinger EVGA Z97 Stinger Core3D mini-ITX motherboard.
Corsair AX850 modular PSU EVGA Supernova 850 P2 PSU.
Corsair Obsidian 250D mini-ITX case, black + modded front grill (from MNPCTech).
    Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD.
    WD Caviar Black 2TB HDD.
    23" LG Flatron E2350V monitor 27" ASUS PB278Q monitor (2560x1440).
    Logitech MX518 mouse.

Summary: upgraded motherboard, GPU, PSU, monitor, mouse, modded the case slightly, and modded my Mrs' desk to allow the case to be placed in a 'cupboard' instead of on top of the desk - the cupboard is open at the rear for exhaust, and added a grill at the front for air intake, see photos:

Nice updates Mr. & Mrs. Nereus! I like the cabinet, was it already ventilated? +1

Cheers. Nope, the cabinet was completely enclosed.. I attacked it with a dremel so I could add that vent cover in the door, and put a large square exhaust hole at the rear, plus attacked both sides near the rear with a 1/4" drill bit and made a lot of holes that look very similar to that front cover on the case. Works surprisingly well. :D
