Hey all,
On this board there are two 8-pin EPS Connectors and I have always had both plugged in because I was overclocking my i7 2600k. Now my overclock is only at 4.5 and has been for the past 6 years stable. My issue is I have purchased a GTX 1080ti Strix (purchasing a new mobo, CPU and ram end of April, however I want to test the new card and make sure everything works) and the length of the card will be bumping into the cable for the second 8-pin EPS Connector. The second cable is not long enough to snake through the back of the case :(
My question is, do I really need the additional 8-pin EPS Connector hooked up? Isn't this for extreme overclocking to add extra power to the CPU?
Thanks
