Hi guys,

Was messing around with memory overclock until I couldn't post anymore.

Tried using the "Bios Safeboot Button" but it did work, just reset the MB. Then tried the red "CMOS reset button" and got me to the bios. But now no matter what I do it always reset to BIOS. Can get out of the bios.

All resets and startups only get me to the bios screen.

Post code on LED shows "Ab".

Please help. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I didn't need to setup anything up the first time, so maybe thats why I'm a bit lost.

I'm using a NVME drive. I have on the boot mode select UEFI and Boot option 1 is Hard Disk.

I can't find any other options. Can you walk me throught it?

I just booted with a windows 10 usb drive and I can see my drive there.

Do I have to reinstall the OS?

You shouldn’t have to reinstall the os. Make sure you check under bbs priorities.

Evga z490 dark user here and whenever I have issues with memory overclocking, and my system becomes super unstable and wont even boot into windows the only that works is.
    1. Unplug power cord and hold power button down for 20 seconds.
    2. Reset cmos
    3. Reinstall the Motherboard bios, 1.07 has been the most stable for me for memory overclocking.
    4. Manually Re enter All timings and clocks.

The dark can get real finicky with high memory overclocks. Sometimes you need to re adjust your dimm, sa, and io voltages to gain stability back, especially if you were right on the edge of stability. A few degree change in room temp could make a once stable overclock unstable.

I've found the BIOS Safe boot button useless, does NOT work as intended, as you've said all it does is reset, never actually goes into the BIOS
