Hey y'all, do I need to have the additional PCIe power port connected? I only have one video card, RTX 2080 regular.

 thanks.

No not for One Graphics Card.
But I still connect mine with only One Graphics Card.
It takes the Stress off of the 24-Pin Power Cable.

    Need to = No

If you want to OC to the Max - I would use 2 separate PCIe power cables from PSU & the additional PCIe power port on MB cant hurt stability

rgr that, if it's not going to hurt I'm going to do it now because if I have to pull all that stuff out to do it later I'm not gonna be happy, in the case I have that plug is not easy to get to once the PSU cover is in place.

    thanks man.

AND it is just an additional pcie/vga plug correct, like the one that goes into the vga cards?

Yep, I do have the 2 separate pcie/vga's connected to my 2080. The only 6 pin I have left for my EVGA 1200 psu is another pcie/vga, so I hooked that one up, and it is alos on it's own line.

    OK....ready for first boot!!

wish me luck!! I've never set up an M.2 before, I hope it's not a pain.....
