Hey guys,

Looking to build a new PC very soon. Last one I built was in 2009 based on EVGA Classified board. i7 920, Corsair Dominator GT, GTX 570x2 in SLI, AX1200, Asus Xonar STX, etc...

Already purchased a GTX1060 from Nvidia direct, Seasonic PSU, i7 8700k from Microcenter, m.2 1TB Samsung 960 and an old school Lian Li V600F I've been looking for about 3 years that started all this!

Looking at EVGA Micro ATX or the MSI Z370M Gaming Pro.

Old build/current is using 12gb of Corsair Dominator GT. Looks like the newest is the "Platinum".

There is no memory listed for the Micro ATX EVGA board. What should I use or doesn't it matter? Anything DDR4 will work ok if stock and not overclocked?

Looking at either 2x 8gb for 16GB total or 2x 16gb for 32GB total. Don't need all the ram but if it doesn't cost too much more, I might.

Thanks!

The z370 Micro doesn't have a list of tested memories yet.
I would either contact EVGA directly to see if they have any update on the list, or take the list from the z370 FTW as a guide

Edit: Tried to copy/paste the list here, but it was a Fail.

    Case: Asus Z370-G Box / MB: Asus Z370-G / CPU: Intel I7 8700K / Mem.: 16GB (2x8) 3000Mhz Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 / GPU: GTX 1080TI FTW3 / A.I.O. W.C: EVGA CLC280 / PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750W

It's the same chipset so hopefully the memories should work but if you have any doubts contact EVGA tech support.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Sorry guys, a bit of an oversight on my part.  This should be up today.  In the meantime:

The list is wrong for Micro ATX.

Many of the part numbers listed are for 4 DIMMS.

    For example:

CMD32GX4M4A2400C14 list says 2x 8gb for 16GB total. Corsair says that part number is for 4x 8gb for 32GB total.
    CMD32GX4M4A2666C16 same.

    Many, many others....

Correct, regarding the memory.  However, you have to keep in mind that the Micro only has 2 DIMM slots.  Since our Motherboard team has access to memory for all of our Z370 motherboards, we decided to test everything, even using only 2 DIMMS out of 4 sticks.  It gives a bit more of a complete picture of supported memory, rather than disqualify all 4 DIMM kits.

In the future, I'll try to do a better job distinguishing between 2 and 4 stick kits.
