Good morning to everybody

I need help with the problem that happens with my motherboard (Z370 FTW).

The digital audio output (SPDIF) has stopped working overnight.

I have installed drivers, removed and changed batteries, reset factory settings, and nothing.

I can spend a whole morning uninstalling drivers and installing drivers, and there comes a time when it works, but after a while, it stops working.

If I connect headphones, the sound is heard, so I understand that it is the digital output ....

Can any other test be done to rule out the digial output?

If you are using Creative Sound Blaster Recon3Di software then you need put digital Optical cable and then set default to Speaker not SPDIF-out and remove Audio Cable 5.1. It will working on speaker and the SPDIF when DTS or Dolby in use or games! If you set default to SPDIF-Out so some software and apps in Windows will not work!! 

Have you try test set default to Speaker in your Windows Control panel and plug Digital Optical cable back of your motherboard sound card and to your Sound System Creative Inspire 5.1. Input Digital Optical? Set your Sound speaker to Digital Optical?

 
 
 

 

Did you check in your Windows Device Manger see any yellow symbol? Open Device manager > view > tick show hidden devices

I didn't have yello symbols, but I have many hidden devices, that I don't undertand the reason, why I have these hidden devices...
 
I try to quit all hidden devices, but when I rebbot the system, the appear again....
 
I rebooted the system and reinstall the sound drivers 8210_FF00_PG460_Win10_TH_RS1_RS2_Win8.1_Win8_Win7_WHQL (4.60.0) and I didn't have sound.
 
I feel that when I try to ear any sound, sometimes, the speakers do a little sound, like when we choose another font.

In this momment I have windows 10, 1909, with december updates.

How do I install it? It's a cab file.

Something is wrong..... I just updated the driver.... No sound..
 
I refue to believe that it is so difficult to install a sound driver with digital sound and that it sounds absolutely nothing...
I'm so desesperate that I even accepter help remotely.

Surprise..... I power off the sound system, and I turn on again and.... I hear the sound...
but the same happened the day before yesterday, I turned off the sound system, went to bed, and when the next day I turned on the system, I couldn't hear anything, because it has given me to turn it off and on, but that didn't happen to me before ...

No, I dind't repair anything. When you told me, unzip the cab, upgrade the driver, search the folder and select the file......... I did it... but I don't have any sound, and I know that it's very extrange, but as you can see in the pictures that I sent, you see that the sound is on and you see in the pictures with the bar.
 
in a moment of frustration I turned off the sound system (which, as I said before, I had done the other day when I went to bed) and the next day when I turned it on, I did not make a sound, going back to yesterday, when after turning it off, and turn it on again I see the sound begins to be heard, my face turned into a fabulous, I can not explain what happens, but now it is heard, turn off ant turn on many times the sound system and the computer and all works fine, but now I have the dude, all works fine (with a new drivers after december updated) or all works fine many days and then works bad again?? Anyway thank you in advance a Merry Crhistmas to all.
