what should i have the cpu_1 header set at in bios with the corsair h100i v2 hooked into it? options are SMART, MAX, increments 1-99%?

appreciate the help.

    For your pump, you'll want to click Smart Fan Settings under the CPU_FAN header to be MAX for default speed and for all four temp levels to ensure it stays full speed.

    Motherboard: EVGA Z170 Classified K
    CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K
    RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum (2 x 8GB) 3000 MHz CL-15
    Video Card: EVGA GTX 980 Ti FTW
    Boot Drive: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB

    thanks for the response. curious, how is that different than just taking it off SMART and setting it to MAX? does MAX not simply remove the temp variable and set the header to its fullest setting all the time despite the temp?

    You're correct, you can set the main setting to MAX and it ends up actually graying out the SMART settings overriding them completely. I had forgotten about that. I haven't fiddled with mine in some time. Either way will work the same.
