A friend of mine wants to start using Avid for music recording and production. I see that the z-170 Classified K has a Thunderbolt  IO connector on board, but it is specifically Thunderbolt 2. Any suggestions for a Thunderbolt 3 setup?

If your bopard does not support it natively, I would suggest starting here: https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Description=thunderbolt%20card&Submit=ENE
