I installed update 2.03 to mitigate the Intel Spectre issue on the Z170 Classified 4-way motherboard in January. I reset the BIOS settings and changed the setting to my normal preferences.
Since installing the update, I have to hold the power button twice to power on my computer. It's not a critical issue- once I figured out the motherboard was not bricked, but others may not figure out that they need to hold the power button twice instead of the quick press that is normally needed to power on the computer.
I have the motherboard set to keep all its lights off normally- I can post all of my settings if it will help track down the BIOS bug. Once I hold the power button the first time, one of the white lights near the on-board power and reset buttons flashes on release. When I hold it the 2nd time, then the motherboard lights up like normal and begins its boot sequence. Is there a fix for this in the pipeline?
