Mine has been doing the exact same. I've been thinking it was bad Nvidia drivers for the past 2 months and finally this past week got completely fed up and started calling nvidia and they couldn't figure out what was wrong at all. Then did a quick google search and find this thread among lots of other people talking about it. Sigh. I've owned my cards for 3 months so I have zero idea how to get my money back. Newegg already said its way too late for anything on their part and EVGA said they could only offer an RMA.

So what, I'm left with 2 $540 paper weights? Or selling them on ebay to some poor (Edited out for language) who will get stuck with the same exact problems? o_0 what the hell..

Jakyap, sorry to hear about the issues with your FTWs. EVGA is aware of the circumstances with the FTW. Please call them asking for their complimentary advanced RMA (you might as well call it a "recall") If you have further questions, send a PM to EVGATech_DaveB. He was involved in getting the FTW fixed and used the way it was intended.

Refer to this thread. Lots of details in it http://forums.evga.com/So-GTX-980-FTW-are-very-bad-cards-m2346232.aspx

I had a 970 ftw worked for 3 years with out problems.
died 3 years, one month. got rma'd and recieved a 980sc, and has this loss of screen problems. wanted to cry till I see it's a bit more wide spread.
I downloaded the detuner, and slowed it down 200 MHz, but still had the screen going away and locking up. I have to wait till after new years and see what evga can help me with.

Hello to all. I also had a black screen problem and I solved it by editing the bios. I reduced the overclocking and flashed the modified bios. After that, the black screens stopped.
