XR1 Pro PC to PC capture

Hey everyone,
 
Long time no post.
 
I posted this in the wrong section earlier, my bad...

I recently ordered and XR1 Pro Capture device to prove a YouTuber by the name of DarkSydePhil wrong. I create content on him and gameplay videos.
 
I want to capture from my PC to my notebook using the XR1 but don't want to use the passthrough as my monitor only supports 3440x144 100Hz over Display Port 1.4a.
 
Is this even possible if I used my 3080Ti to monitor using Display Port and then HDMI 2.1 from my 3080Ti to the XR1 Pro?

    The XR1 Pro only uses HDMI for both input and output, so you won't be able to use Display Port to connect the PC to the XR1. We cannot guarantee it will capture correctly using an HDMI / Display Port adapter.
