Hot!XR1 Lite only working in USB 2.0 mode

I have tried plugging in to all ports on my motherboard. The capture device only ever shows a purple or flashing purple LED. The ports are all USB 3.0 or higher and I have an older capture card and external HDDs that operate in USB 3.0 mode on those ports without any issue. Is there anything else to try? I have updated to the most recent firmware on the XR1 Lite.

    Try a different USB cable. Make sure the USB cable you're using is a fully compatible USB 3.0 cable. There are a lot of sketchy cables out there.

    Are these USB 3.0 ports located directly on the motherboard, or is this a front panel header?

    i am using the usb cable that came in the box with the capture card. i tried every usb port directly on the motherboard rear panel with all other usb items unplugged. it will sometimes show the blue led for either a moment or a minute but then always switches back to the purple usb 2.0 mode.

    An update on this. I purchased a new cable from Amazon.

    And it worked! The cable is indeed thicker than all the other USB A to C that use to have.

    I did end up trying a new cable about 2 months ago. It is now working! For any interested this is the cable that I'm using now: Monoprice product number 38610
