Ive downloaded several times and everytime i go through the steps selecting install path, etc. it just hangs up on the installation window and shows no progress no error messages no way of knoing what the problem actually is. I would love to know what is going on, thank you.
ASrock Z87 extreme 4 mobo
intel i5-4670K CPU stock at 3.4GHz
8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM in dual-channel
EVGA GeForce GTX 760 super-clocked
120GB Samsung 840 evo SSD
Windows 8.1 full version w/ 64bit
P.S. tried to add screen shot tried to take pic with my phone and could not get the file size down that low

Hello nickdavis683, Are you running any anti-virus/malware software while trying to install the Precision software? If so please disable or pause the software during installation and then Whitelist the application if necessary.

I have not said this, if you want to use XOC you can. Have you done what EVGATech_MDecker has stated above? If you want to run the (iCX) Version then you need an iCX based Graphics Card ATM.

I have same problem. I only have windows defender av running. I turned off its real time monitoring. Install as administrator, hangs just at the start of the install. No messages to override it or warning. Yes, I just installed an evga 1080-ti ftw3 board, so it should work. Any other ideas? Phil

Re-download the file from EVGA site.
Best practices when installing software:
Reboot your PC
Go Offline - pull the cat5 cable / kill the wireless
Log On as Admin
Stop ALL background software - including security software (why you need to be offline)
Run the install as Admin (right click on install file)
should work, if you have the correct version of Precision for your GPU
Then reboot, check that your security software is running before connecting to network

I grabbed the main xoc kit and as i said, have a evga 1080ti ftw3

So you disabled all antivirus programs including windows defender and it still won't install?

I got it to install in safe mode, no network, F8 at startup.

Mine 1080ti-ftw3 did not take a firmware upgrade as far as I can tell. How do I tell the version it is and what it should be. That might be right, as it is a brand new board and might have been sent with it already loaded. GPUZ does show the firmware version, 86.02.39.00.90

Vbios looks correct. You can view the mcu firmware versions be clicking the "i" button inside precision xoc.

Thanks, that is good Does anyone know what the values should be on a 1080Ti-ftw3 if it took a firmware upgrade for the mcus?? ssid? led mcu? powerfan mcu? Memory fan mcu ?
