I have noticed with the latest release that my XOC seems to monitor only my GPU temp. Whenever I am gaming I see my GPU temp rise but my power temp and
memory temp doesn't move at all.

I am currently running two 1080Ti FTW3 in a SLI configuration.

I also just run GPU temperature normally.
POWER · MEMORY The temperature is not moving.
After restarting, it returns to normal temperature.

Glad to hear that worked for you. With that said, I believe auto fan control relies on those readings, which could lead to unsafe temps. NOT GOOD!

Anyone feel like testing this? I'm not at home, otherwise I would.

This is the reply I got:

Hello,

I do apologize for the inconvenience you are having with this issue. I would suggest to completely uninstall Precision XOC from your PC then also go to your C:\Program Files\EVGA folder and delete and Precision XOC folders or files. Then also go to your DOCUMENTS folder and see if there are any EVGA folders, if so delete them as well. Then completely re-install the Precision XOC program and try again.

If that doesn't work then the only solution would be to downgrade back to the previous version and we will forward this concern to our Product Management Team.

Regards,
EVGA

I followed this and it appears to be working at them moment with the exception that once XOC starts,
I have to click the settings wheel to get the program to respond and have it actually work. Once working,
it is tracking my temps and adjusting fans according to my profile.

Yep this also fixed it for me, what an absolutely dumb thing to disable by default,
I can just imagine the amount of people who won't research the issue and just RMA
thinking the temp sensors are duds.

I can't help but agree with the rest of the community, dev's really need to get their
heads out of the sand, and fix not only voltage curve but also basic things like this
which shouldn't have been an issue to begin with, like seriously... there is a reason
why 95% of job requirements include "attention to detail"

While adding the gpu and memory temp sensors to be monitored fixes the reported temp being stuck at 33C with no fan response under increased load, i now have the issue where the the temprature reported gets stuck at 45c, i did not notice this during some extended game play so god knows what it got to. restarting the app returns it to working again, but seriously, im going back to 6.2.3 for a while, last thing i want is my ftw3 1080ti suffering because of software bugs...

Asus Maximus 10 hero /8700k
16gb corsair vengeance lpx 3200
Evga 850 G3 PSU
120gb OS ssd, 256gb game ssd, 2tb hdd.

Hello,

One of our techs has been able to replicate this issue and is currently being looked into. It is advised that if anyone with iCX technology graphics cards are running into odd temperature readings, to ensure that the PWR4 and MEM2 are enabled in Hardware monitor.

Do i only need to set up memory 1 and power 1?

In my personal testing EVGA Precision XOC will follow the hottest sensor of each category to adjust the fan speed.
So you have several Power and Memory sensors for example, and the sensor that gets the hottest will be prioritised.

I don't have that issue, but I have UAC disabled.
Maybe try running Precision XOC as administrator and change the settings.
Possibly you could try closing and restarting Precision XOC afterwards to make sure settings are saved correctly.

Just logged in to say that I have the same issue, fixed with the check boxes in hw monitor.

Honestly why would this be disabled by default? DO you have any explanations? Don't you test your software before releasing it? I haven't restarted yet, testing my 1080ti FTW3 with Unigine valley so I can observe how the new precision acts, and I REALLY hope that I won't need to open precision and fiddle around every single time I restart.

Also please, as mentioned in other threads, make an option to disable the splash screen. Nobody asked for it.

I just did a fresh install with 6.2.5 and after adding all the sensors to monitor and setting and enabling autofan speed, exiting the app and restarting it, the fans do not apply when restarted they all stay at 0 until I resotre the app and click the fan icon again, went back to 6.2.3 again. I give up, lol.

What is fixed? I still have to go to HW monitor and check all the sensors individually, why? This happened automatically on 6.2.3. Just, why?

Also trying 6.2.5 now, saved profile is not loaded on startup like in any other version. Again, why?

What a complete joke...

Edit: the profile is recognized once you open the app and press the settings circle, or manually select the profile. It does not apply it automatically. So every time you restart you have to go to precision xoc, and press your profile to load. Seriously. Also no option to disable the splash screen yet. I'm going back to 6.2.3 again.
