In my situation same happens with ax1600i. Pc freeze, black screen and reboots if my oc is too high. I have 3090 strix shunted and water cooled. +200 vcore and/or +900 mem crashes the system to desktop in Witcher 3. And full reboots in Detroit Become Human. I guess this is the limitation of my system. Buying another psu/gpu is a risk I can not take. So I hope these are all software related.

give it a try: set a clock value below 2000 and see if it does more.

If I set a lower oc for gpu this never happens. So for sure overclock in gpu triggers this situation. Everything at default, no oc on cpu/ram, +950 mem on gpu reboots in PR benchmark. With oc on cpu/ram same thing happens. Shunt modded the card same continue happening.
+0 oc on mem, +200 oc on core never reboots in benchmarks, but reboots in Detroit Become Human, as soon as the game starts.
Looks like gpu core or mem oc makes the pc reboot in different situations. Crashing I understand but rebooting I don't. Like I press restart button on mobo.

I guess pushing the GPU OC higher than what the card power delivery can handle will likely cause some issues.

I would test your GPU on a independent PSU i did this at 1st before buying a new one I ran it off a old 650W unit which pointed me to a new PSU as it never one issue.

This behavior I had before the hard shutdowns my system would blackscreen with looping sound then reboot a few days after it stopped and I was getting full hard shutdown rather than just a restart.

So you think this is an indication of a psu slowly deteriorating?

I wouldn't say that just because I believe the behavior of these 30 series is wacked, the caps that EVGA stands by are enough who knows? might not really be enough they under spec'ed the FE card at the end of the day, so you have two choices test your card with another PSU connected to just the card see if your problems go away or RMA the card but the returned card might be the same, so far all my crashes are gone running this cheaper 1300w coolermaster PSU.

Cooler Master V Platinum 1300W
I would still test using another unit before buying a new PSU.

one of the upsides to this PSU but most likely just marketing

I have the same problem here. My PSU is a Seasonic PRIME Ultra 650 Platinum (SSR-650PD2).

The power to the GPU is delivered thru two independent (8 pins) connectors. According to Seasonic's guidance.

If the GPU works alone (stress test, benchmark), everything is in order. So the GPU alone is fine, I guess.
As long as CPU is involved, games or complex benchmark, the computer shut himself off.
I tested the consumption on the power outlet with a power meter, and it never exceeded 500W.

So, guess I need a new PSU now. I will try to RMA the current one.

What concerns me on the GPU side is the power distribution on the 8 pin rails. See the image below.

GPU running FurMark - 1440 preset (FS, 8x MSAA).

Hello,

I have this as well. Random blackscreen to restarts. Had it in games and also while using Zoom. But all very randomly. Can use the computer for days without issues and all of a sudden it happens again.
Can you guys check if you detect bluescreen messages with this tool:
Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files. (nirsoft.net)

As it turns out my system throws blue screens which I simply could not see due to the blackscreen error covering it. This makes me believe the PSU might not be the problem after all.
The BSODs point to nvlddmkm.sys, so might be something with the drivers. Obviously this doesn't exclude the PSU from being the part at fault here. I will receive a replacement unit in the next days and will test.
