Hello folks,
I own this MB since long years, but I never intent to use the 2nd BIOS embedded.
Yesterday, I've try to have a look on it by switching the dipswitch from 1 to 2 and boot my computer.
The computer try to boot only for an half second, I see the fan starting and perform an half cycle then everything switch off and 3 seconds later, it start again and stop; all of this in loop.
I've try to clean the CMOS, no change. I've remove the battery for a minute then when pressing PWR button, it have perform 3 cycle of boot attempt and then it start, but the POST was stuck at 04 (Southbridge init before µcode loading).
After 3 try of this boot, the MB seem to go in security mode and doesn't start at all; the power button on the MB is Green but all other leds are off and push start doesn't make anyhting. I had to unplug the PSU for 1 hour and remove the battery to recover it.

Rollback to BIOS 1 work well but (and it's normal) all settings are lost.

Today, I use FTP to have a look on both BIOS.
Everything is OK with BIOS 1:

But with Windows booted, when I switch to BIOS 2 and I try to perform a dump of the config, I see that error :
C:\Users\Coin-Coin\Desktop\E097_flashtool_208\FPTWIN\64>fptw64.exe -I

I precise, I NEVER touch the BIOS in Bank 2, and I have only update the BIOS in Bank1 in the whole MB life.
Current BIOS in Bank 1 is 0208 (the latest I think), and I think the bank 2 contain the factory one.

My config is:
-MB: EVGA X99 FTW-K
-CPU: Intel 6950x
-32Gb of Kingston HyperX Savage (KHX2400C12D4/8GX)
-GFX: NV 3080ti FE
-PSU : an old and wise OCZ 1200W

Anyone already faced an issue like it or have an idea on how to resolve it ?

Thx and kindly regards from  Toulouse, France

I tried several times to flash the BIOS in bank 2. It didn't work.
Finally, I successfully perform an ident of the bios and the flash was OK after letting the computer up during several hours...
I don't understand why.
After that, I've boot on the bios in bank 2  without any problems.
Maybe a whim of the diswitch....
BTW, Thx a lot for your support.

Kindly regards,

Maybe CR2032 battery got low and requires replacement?

Thx Zoran for your remark. I've replaced it. I don't think it make a difference as the MB work like a charm right now, but after 5 years it's a good idea to replace it.
