Hi,

I have an X99 FTW-K bios 2.03. I installed a Samsung 960 EVO 500GB m.2 drive and enabled m.2 in the bios. Windows 10 just hangs at boot at the windows logo if I have the m.2 enabled. I don't want to run windows on my m.2 drive. I just want to use it as a non-boot game drive. How can I get windows to boot in and detect my m.2 drive?

Also, If I set my bios to boot to UEFI instead of legacy, my system will continually just boot back in to the bios.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I got it to work. I enabled the m.2 slot and loaded optimized defaults. Windows 10 now sees it and I set it up as a game drive.

I wasn't able to post earlier...one thing I was also going to suggest...enable m.2  Then in boot order, DO NOT include Windows boot manager.  Go straight to HDD (boot drive)...and that may have netted the same result.  Windows hangs and so does boot, when Windows boot manager tries to boot from the m.2
