That's a good question...along with with what other changes are in the this BIOS.
Also, for the vast majority simply loading the BIOS defaults will result in not being able to boot...you know AHCI mode for example.

It should support those as well.  This is just a very small update to support memory with RGB controls.

Thanks for the update. Corsair Link works as advertised. Memory RGB LED's can now be controlled through the Corsair Link app!

Good to see devs are working on BIOS updates; hopefully we will have BDW-EP support soon, as many other MB manufacturers added support nearly one year ago.

    I am not quite sure what E5 v5 v4 CPU I will use, probably E5 2690 v4 or E5 2683 v4 but it would be better if my MB supports E5 4669/2699 v4; I'm using X99 micro 2 with BIOS version 2.01.

They are no v5 CPUs ATM.
I have two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 2.4GHz and the max they can see is 2.8GHz.
Not a CPU that I use in a Micro MB but best of luck. Maybe you might have to wait for the X299 to come out.

This is just a quick fix bios update, right? I was expecting the next bios update to have a lot more in it.

Perhaps slightly of topic, but maybe it's time to un-sticky some of the older Bios updates?
The sticky section kind of looks like a mess, with 6 Bios update-threads on it (5 of which are now outdated)
or maybe that's just me lol.

I think there should be a sticky with all the BIOS versions with their time stamp and individual updated notes, so in case someone wants to roll back to the one they felt more stable and or comfortable or wanted different options on their board.

I'm running a Xeon E5 2690 v4, and the turbo feature of the processor stoped working after the update. I had to re-flssh v2.03 to get Intel turbo boost to work again. It's very important as it makes all 14 cores run simultaneously at turbo speed of 3.5ghz.

I have bios 204 and I still having trouble with MOBO not detecting SB card. I have looked all over this forum for info that does is not 2yrs old. Been dealing with this for 5 days now. Please Help
    I have a
    evga x99 classy
    5820k cpu
    evga 750 p2 ps
    evga 700 series vid (1)
    G Skill 3200 4x4 mem
    Sound blaster z (not detected)
    WD M.2 512GB.

Your 5820K is a 28 lane CPU.  Look at the pic to make sure you're using the proper PCIe slots for your setup...

Is this the appropriate thread to make suggestions for features we want in the bios or is there another way to contact EVGA regarding updates?

You can do both, send them an email and post it on here so we can see it as well and I'm sure some rep might pick it up.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

    Features I'd like to see:

-A separate option in the bios to shutdown the computer based on CPU temp  or Fan RPM speed.
    -S.M.A.R.T of all fan headers
