Howdy all,
New to the EVGA community.
I picked up a X79 FTW from Microcenter because they were clearance-ing a big pile of motherboards, and the FTW caught my eye.
Board version appears to be 1.0
First Config :
Ultra X3 1000 Watt PSU
Cooler-master HAF 932
Dual GTX 780 Ti's
4x4 Crucial Ballistix Sport (BLS4C4G3D18ADS3)
Single Intel 320 80GB
Cooler-Master Seidon 120V
Intel 4820K
Obviously, with Bios E777 0.25 x64, this configuration did not boot.
Gave an instant code FF
Searched the forums, Found that this BIOS version did not support an Ivy Bridge.
Second config:
Ultra X3 1000 Watt PSU
Cooler-master HAF 932
Dual GTX 780 Ti's
4x4 Crucial Ballistix Sport (BLS4C4G3D18ADS3)
Single Intel 320 80GB
Cooler-Master Seidon 120V
Intel Xeon E5 1603
This config hung on 67, Search pointed to the 780 Ti's not being supported correctly by the FTW on this bios Revision
Third config :
Ultra X3 1000 Watt PSU
Cooler-master HAF 932
nVidia Quadro 2000
4x4 Crucial Ballistix Sport (BLS4C4G3D18ADS3)
Single Intel 320 80GB
Cooler-Master Seidon 120V
Intel Xeon E5 1603
This config boots, and I can get into the bios and edit settings, and save, and reboot.
My issue now, is that it will POST, and then stop on code 0d.
0d is one of those wonderful codes that the manual simply states are "Reserved for future AMI SEC error codes"
The previous two codes were incredibly helpful in diagnosing the issue.
I do not see many posts or threads or web sites that have information concerning 0d.
I have tried different power supplies,
I have tried moving the 8-Pin EPS between the two inputs, and connecting both,
I have tried different video cards as well, (Old Fire GL, Nvidia 520 etc),
I have tried different PCI-E slots for the video card.
I have ran with a single stick of RAM, I have tried different RAM, (Micron MT4JTF25664AZ-1G6E1)
I have tried the different BIOS positions,
I have tried with no SATA devices connected
I have tried with no USB devices connected.
Still can't get it past Code 0d
Been reading and researching as much as possible, Kinda stuck here. Any Insight or suggestions would be welcome.
