Hi my Evga X58 Classified SLI 3 ( 141-BL-E760-A1) ( REV 1.1) has a 62 post code. I have a Xeon X5675 in the Cpu socket. Long story short I had this working just fine I overvolted my ram to 1.65 and it had FF post then a blank post( no number)replaced cpu to another X5675 and now I have a 62 post. Would I need to do a Chipset driver flash, I know the 62 post relates to the south bridge. Or should I just flash the latest bios on the motherboard. The Computer does not boot just sits on 62 post and black screen on monitor. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,

Post code 62 could indicate there is a problem with your gpu/pci-e slot. Try your gpu in another pci-e slot, or try a different video card in the system.

Has the CMOS been reset since you swapped the CPU?

Unplug keyboard, mouse, webcam, etc..See if it passes POST and boots to the OS.

I replaced CPU and ram still FF post. took graphics card out still FF post. Reset cmos still FF post. This is really upsetting me! Should I try to do a bios flash , or should I go out back and break it with a hammer?

I tried the methods and it still gave an FF post. I'm going to try to do a bios flash. I read the forum on how to do the bios flash the only thing that that has me confused is if I need to do anything different for windows 10 pro or do I just follow the same method? This is the evga form I read "How To Flash Your Bios From USB - Made Easy (remade)"

Doesn't matter what OS you run if you do a low-level BIOS flash in DOS because the OS is not involved. I suggest Rufus, using the FreeDOS option to format and create a bootable USB flash drive for that and run the E76083.bin in DOS from the Command Prompt and see how that rolls. Good luck with trying, but I think if your mobo doesn't POST, you wont even get a USB flash drive to be recognized..I think your mobo is probably toast. Offering up a sacrificial young goat to the Motherboard Gods might help too.

Well, it did not work.... even with the sacrifice ;) … I'm just going to sell it for parts and save up for an 8700k. It was a good board and cpu while it lasted the x5675 performed like a beast with my 1070ti but alas its no more. I'm going to put a listing on ebay this weekend, I'll post a link if anyone on here is interested. Thank you all for you advice and help it was much appreciated.
