Thought I'd check back here seeing how Intel released the CPU microcode updates for pretty much everything and I know there's still a lot of people running on X58. Any chance we can get BIOS updates for the new microcode? I'm running on the Classified 3 with a Xeon X5680. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, we cannot further update the X58 motherboard BIOS to support those hotfixes.

Can you please elaborate on what you mean? Is it physically not possible or you don't have the resources to update them? If it's due to the limited size of the BIOS chip couldn't we split up the BIOS files to support either Xeon's or Core processors or something along those lines? At this stage in the chipsets life I would think most users know what CPU they're running and wouldn't need support for the entire lineup. I saw some other manufacturers were releasing BIOS updates for some of their workstation PC's that support these Xeon's so I had high hopes seeing how great EVGA's customer service has always been. That's a real buzzkill.

The BIOS microcodes updates for the X58 are not needed since Windows 10 already includes fixes for these vulnerabilities.

I've been running my X58 E760 on Win10 since these vulnerabilities have been listed, never patched the bios and never had a problem until now.

When EVGA techs say they cannot update the bios on these motherboard it's because they are over a decade old so software support lifetime on them is long gone.

But it's not needed anyway (on windows at least)

problem is that lot of users reported that those microsoft "fixes" are decreasing performance ingames(not only in the x58 platform)
    i personally disable those fixes,using this tool : https://www.grc.com/inspectre.htm

Well yeah i could but i already hold the highest single 1080ti score for similar X58 systems on firestrike so performance isn't really an issue for me right now
