Just finished building my rig. 5800x 2 x 16GB Kingston Fury 2 x 6900XT LDU 2 x 2TB Seagate Firecuda 530 2 x 1200P2 EVGA (PSU) load of fans and a ton of radiator. Everything lights up. However, the power button on the motherboard, does nothing. Not even a power on then off, literally didn't turn on. No codes thrown, cuz it won't turn on. Everything is getting power. Hell, the RGB on the board lights up. The bios led, the power led, all lights up on the mobo. Checked all cables, switched out all cables, all PSUs working, obviously it wouldn't light up if not and I literally pulled them out of my other rigs this afternoon. Please help. I sent an email.

Cards I can reach since they are on risers, Mem I'll pull as well, nvme drives I won't pull until I'm in rma mode. Lol, can't get to them with out full disassembly.

I think I would try it out of the case..

What about the power button jumper?
Did you test it before mounting inside the case?

Haven't tried jumping it. Will try tonight. I didn't have the chance to test the mobo and CPU. Everything else was pulled from other rigs, so I'm positive those work.
I didn't have a cooler for the Ryzen society so I couldn't test it to ensure it worked flawlessly. I see my error in that regard
Ultimately, I still confused by the entire board lighting up as should, but nothing happening at the press of the power button. The damn RGB works for good sake lol

Unplugged one mem stick, both GPU risers, consolidated to one PSU
Only thing I notice is the DAT3 LED above the mem is lit up?
No joy on any trouble shooting

According the manual, page 10 the DAT3 indicated "VDD: 6. VDDP a. WHITE: Voltage present (Does not mean PSU is outputting in-spec, only that this specific voltage is detected.
For SA, none of the other lights are lit

So i am currently use custom MOD-ONE cables designed for EVGA PSUs. However, I did swap out the motherboard cable for an actual EVGA cable to test it. Still no joy. Same thing, everything lights up but will not do anything. I dont really h ost photos anywhere so its hard to upload and show one here

I found during one (and a half) of my installs with the right-angle case switch/light header that I misread and plugged in the power switch where the reset switch goes and vise-versa. Everything worked great if I hit the reset button for power and the power button for reset. I unplugged them, then plugged them back in, and they were still wrong lol. User error working in a tight space with the right-angle adaptor I can't really see, but have to plug in by feel. So it was my bad, but yeah, it wouldn't boot up with the power button. Easy fix once I triple-checked the manual (that I had already done correctly during a previous installation lol).
Just thought I'd ask.

When I hit the reset button the number 4 appears on the readout above it. But it doesn't power on. Like the whole thing has power but won't turn on. I need to figure out where the jumpers are and try that. Never needed to before so anyone know on this board The power button does nothing.

@JACOB or EVGA Rep When I hold down the reset button, it counts down from 4, 3, 2, 1, the LED shows a spinning motion than reads out E2 on the CP80P2 Read out above the reset button. During the spinning LED the power button flashes red on and off? Still cant turn it on, but I feel like were getting somewhere with trouble shooting!?!?!?! E2 Video repost?

Just curious, did you put in a ticket with EVGA support? You'll get an actual response from them that way. The forums will mostly be users, moderators, and once in a while an EVGA tech will pop in and try to help.

Email and ticket. Two days ago. No reply. Which for the record is a rarity, I know. They are usually on it. I am waiting for them to open to just call in to tech support.

Update #278, lol.
RMA sunny waiting for approval to ship back. Broke everything down testing along the way, no change.
Rep and I were both perplexed by the mobo lighting up but not functioning.
Either a bad CPU or a bad Mobo.

I'm now having the same experience. Unfortunately i don't have a spare cpu nor mobo to test. Lights all on but power button no go. Was working earlier now nothing sadly

Got it to turn on but fans go to 100%, code read out shows 00 and no post. Manual states it's CPU related however this system worked earlier and i know the cpu is good. Only had this running for about a week now. Absolutely disheartening

Now it's going straight to E3 whatever that is referring to, fans still going to 100% well the fan controller ones powered by sata and molex but slso mobo vrm fans screaming too. How do I fix this, i need to get this machine running asap

I still can't get mine to post, tried another cpu, psu and ram but no luck however it wants to boot but goes straight to 0d on the post code which in the books states is "Reserved for future AMI SEC error codes" I really need help getting this working again please I don't understand why my board just died out of the blue with only being used for a couple of weeks or so, not happy especially with the money I paid for it

I've been having a similar issue, has happened 3 times over the last few months and twice in the last week...each time ive gaming the manual also says that typically it's not the CPU causing it, but one of the CPU cables; the first time it happened, I found that one of my PCIE sleeved extender cables had come somewhat loose and that my AIO block wasnt quite as tight as it had been when I first put my rig together. This last week, ive been unable to pinpoint what exactly has been causing the problem, but I removed all my motherboards PSU cables on both ends and re-inserted them... If it happens again, I'm going to remove the sleeved extenders I use for flare and try connecting directly to OEM PSU cables; there's a possibility of a short, or some other issue with those cables. dont know if this will help you, but worth a shot checking your PSU cables, and even trying a diff PSU if you are able. Either way, EVGA will def stand behind their product if it comes to RMA...I know it's a pain but you wont be left high and dry by their team as long as their is no physical damage to the board. best of luck, and please update if you end up finding the source of your issue.
