Hello,

I had issues booting so I replaced the BIOS battery and now it boots fine.

Problem is when I turn my system off.

Everything shuts down fine but then red leds light up, 'c' error shows up and my fans/strips turn red. BUT, the led strips arent connected to the motherboard, nor are they software controlled.

What could be the issue? Im thinking a problem with the PSU as the system works fine.

Thanks for reading, hopefully someone can help me.

Post Code C indicates an issue with the CPU. This can be caused by a defective CPU, out of spec Power Supply, Bent CPU socket pins, CPU incompatible with BIOS version or defective Motherboard.

Couldn't hurt to try another PSU, that could very well be the problem.

Thanks. I find it odd that everything works fine, yet the error only shows when the system is shut down...

    Very strange.

EDIT: Turns out my EVGA 850W G2L was the issue. Bought a 1000w G+ and the error went away.

Reinstalled the 850w G2L to be 100% sure and sure enough, 'C' error pops up again.

Nice to have a 10-year warranty on the G2L.
