My pc has had some serious problems booting and posting. It beeps 5 times meaning no keyboard, but I have a wired keyboard and mouse plugged in. The vrm fan keeps spinning at 100% when it's set to 25, and after its unplugged and plugged back in it refuses to boot. Right now it's in windows but has no video output, I know it's in windows because the drive light is flickering and when I push the power button it goes into sleep mode and the light turns green. The only way I found to fix this is to flip the dual bios switch and then keep resetting the pc while flipping the switch. This is so aggravating and I just got the blue screen of death when I finally got it to boot normally. I'm not overclocking or anything. I think my CMOS battery might be dead but I dont have a multimeter with me to check. Any ideas?

im having a similar problem, i made some overclock changes to my memory and now im locked out of my bios....i tried hitting the red button for 10 seconds, pulled out my battery, reseated my memory, used a differnt emory kit. reseated my cpu....pulled all the drives out, pulled the video card out...pretty much everything this forum has suggested i have tried....including pressing f12 on the top two usb port...nothing has work...looks like i messed up both bios  1 and bios 2 cause neither will get me to the bios screen...Help

im typically stuck in a6 or 33....
the changes i made were to the xmp profile and i think i auto used the robo overclocker and hit save and then that was the last time i saw windows....

A9 for me. Try flipping the dual bios switch while it's off, clearing cmos, try to boot, unplug it. Flip the bios switch back to whatever chip you normally use, plug it back in, clear cmos, and try to boot.

It sounds weird but it sometimes works for me. The blue screen of death and the freezing in bios is a new problem for me and when I get home tomorrow I'm going to update the bios. I'm using 2400mhz ram so I dont need XMP and I never messed with the memory oc. I only ever oc the cpu but I dont have any overclocks on. Also, last night I took the cmos battery completely out and it booted first try without the battery. Today it wont boot without the battery.

So you cant post. Does it get stuck on error code 22? I set the voltage on my cache to 1.3 by accident which is very dangerous for cache. I then overclocked my memory and completely killed something. I RMAd the cpu and ram and it booted as soon as I put the new parts in it. If all else fails, check the warranty on your cpu and ram and get them replaced for free if you can. Obviously dont tell intel about using XMP or any overclocks or else they'll reject your rma. Good luck.

nope im just stuck in a6. Im pretty sure it was the XMP changes on my end. Processor is delidded so im sure thats going to be an issue.Worse case its a reason to upgrade to my ryzen 5000 series but this would be a shame. On the other bios (bios2) it not clear as the numbers are constantly moving around in the 40's which seems to tell me it might have passed post but isnt displaying anything on the monitor? i don't know why on earth i tried to make the same changes to both bios...

Having your settings on both bios is not the issue. I can almost guarantee bios is not your issue. A6 is good, atleast I think. If it's in the 40s then that's probably your cpu temp, when it's going through the 40s look at your reset button and see if its flashing. If its flashing alot then that means you booted.

I got stuck on A6 before and it eventually sorted itself out. Just keep clearing cmos and flipping the dual bios switch until it goes to the 40s, and if you have no signal, then unplug the pc, and plug it back in until it shows something on the screen. That's what's working for me right now and I have no idea why.

Also what cpu are you using?
