Hi,
since two days the resolution during the startup is wrong - including BIOS. It seems that the boot up is with 480p and I'm no longer able to go into the BIOS, because of the wrong solution. If I try to enter the BIOS I will get a black screen and when I move the mouse over the screen some artifacts are coming up. After the startup - in Windows 10 - I can change the resolution from 480p to 2160p and everything looks fine.

First I think it's my GPU, but after replace the GPU with an older one I identified, that the GPU is not the root cause.

What I have tried in the meantime:
- CMOS Reset
- BIOS Update in Windows
- change the BIOS switch to a previous BIOS
=> same problem as before :-/

Any help?

Attached you will find some picture - including the logo in 480p and the artifacts.

Still looks like an GPU / Monitor issue

Or Video Cable or Port on the Monitor.
But it looks more like a TV and using an HDMI Cable.

Yes, it's a LG OLED, which is used over 2 years for my PC. I will connect a monitor tomorrow and post the results.

Problem solved - it was neither the GPU nor the X299 Dark!
After disconnecting the second HDMI output on my AVR and a direct connection to my TV everything looked OK. So it seems to be a problem with my AVR when a second HDMI was connected.

AVR-X6400H and as written - both HDMI Out are connected to my TV. The second HDMI Out was connected due to some tests.

I own an AVR-3311CI and an much older AVR-1905

I downloaded the manual for yours. Look at pages 150 and 188 of the PDF for your AVR. Make sure you are using HDMI 1 to your TV (Center White HDMI output). You would have to play around with the HDMI Control On / Off for the HDMI port you were hooked into with your PC. Probably best done through the web interface of your AVR if it is hooked to the network. It has been a long time since I have logged into mine and set it up, not sure if all the options would be the same. DO Not have more then 1 HDMI cable hooked between the AVR and the TV

What it came down to is that when the GPU asked whatever was at the other end of the HDMI cable what it wanted resolution wise it got a garbled answer and did weird stuff versus having it hooked straight to the TV

I had had my HTPC hooked to my 3311 via the IGPU on an Intel motherboard and had no issues - but I used a specific port on the AVR - and now I cannot find which port that was and why

For sound I was using the TOSlink (optical) from the motherboard to the AVR

With your AVR hooked into the network back up your config of the system (can be downloaded via the web interface) and have your AVR check for updated firmware
