Can anyone with a X299 Dark and/or FTW Measure the height of the VRM heatsink with the fans? I have a EK Phoenix kit on the top of my case. I'm concerned the heatsink on either board may be too tall to fit behind the rad/pump combo. Picture to give you and idea of the clearance. https://photos.app.goo.gl/WPrmKxSbpr6RqUWK9

Thanks

I would be happy to measure it for you---> if only EVGA would give me one so I can improve the support I can offer

Hello bg8780!

I measured the X299 FTWk that we have here in the office, you can use this image as reference.

So if you are looking at the image,
From left to right, the VRM heatsink is 4 inches long. Then from top to bottom of the image, the VRM heatsink is 1 and 1/4 inches wide this measurement includes the capacitors right above the CPU socket. Removing the capacitors from the equation shaves off 1/4 of an inch from that total measurement.

Then from the PCB to the top of the fan, the VRM heatsink is 1 and 7/8 inches tall.

As for the X299 Dark, we do not have that board in the office at this moment but I have one at home and I can measure it and get back to you tomorrow morning. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much, Jose!! I'm guessing the VRM fan is 10mm thick? I can add that to the overall measurement. Now I have to figure out how to fit a ruler in my case and see how much space I'm working with.

I really hope I can get one of those boards to fit. Not sure what I can do with my current hardware of it doesn't

No problem! Could you give me the measurements of the block itself? I am almost certain that the block that you have on your current system should fit with ease on the X299 FTWk and Dark. I'll check for you once I get the measurements of your block and once I get home tonight!

It's the EK Phoenix kit. I know it will fit. I'm just worried about the VRM heatsink and fan fitting behind the radiator.

After looking at this more, I'm thinking none of the EVGA X299 board will fit without getting a new case. All of the VRM heatsinks are just too tall and won't fit under my radiator.

I almost suggested it was time for a new case, and thought of the Dynamic

Hopefully that case will work but I would have preferred a taller case to ensure you have more space.

I prefer the full look. Have a lot of empty space in a case bothers me. I probably won't have access to the lower fan headers but I'll figure something out

My full tower has lots of space. Doesn't bother me at all. In fact I know there is better cooling inside it.
