Hi, USB-C support DP alt mode? or is it *** marketing... like "look, your mobo has USB-C" but only a connector.

The CPUs don't have video output so there would be no point.

Like DEJ915 said X299 Dark is not for CPUs that have video output. In the absence of video output there is no point to have USB-C port that could do video output.  How you would expect to get video through it when there wouldn't be anything to produce that video?

Also, marketing of X299 Dark is not *** when it comes to USB-C. Nowhere does it say "this MB has USB-C that supports video output".

USB type C is not exclusive to video output so I fail to see why the OP takes issue with a USB type C port existing on the X299 Dark?

    Intel i7 9800X 3.80Ghz (OC to 4.70 Ghz)
32Gb Gskill Ripjaws (F4-3200C16D-16GVKB) In quad channel running at 3200MHz (XMP enabled)
EVGA RTX 2070 Super FTW3 Ultra Gaming (with Hydro Copper waterblock)
    EVGA x299 Dark motherboard
    Corsair 5000D Airflow case
    Custom watercooling loop
    Creative X-fi Titanium Soundcard
    2x Samsung 970 Evo NVMe
1x Professional brand 1TB SSD (Microcenter brand)
    Corsair 850 HXi PS
