EVGATech_PeterNHi Kram36, I see here your X299 Dark has the latest BIOS. It was other Motherboards that were sold prior to the 10 series launch that needed the update. However, I see here, your product is not effected. Regards,EVGA
GenjoKoanI have bought 4 new EVGA motherboards in the last12 months, 1 from Microcenter and 3 direct from EVGA. NONE of them had a current BIOS, not even close. Despite having a several versions old BIOS, my X299 mATX 2 board booted okay fine with a 10920X CPU installed and I was able to update the BIOS, no worries. I have not setup my X299 Dark yet. I assume its BIOS is old because the little USB drive for BIOS was several versions old. But you can update the Dark's BIOS without a CPU, so again, no worries.
