X299 Dark Refresh in the Future?

Is there going to be a X299 refresh or update in the future? Asus just came out with their updated Rampage VI Extreme Omega for the 9000 generation of chips. The X299 Dark while compatible with the new chips with bios flash, is growing long in the tooth. That and the deep discounts (50% off) that EVGA is providing on the board right now. Can we expect a refresh or a classified X299 board in the works? If so, it might be worth holding off on a Rampage VI Extreme Omega purchase.

    I got mine for $199.00, if there is a refresh i have over 70 days left to step-up...

    EVGA  X299 DARK is still over kill for x299 platform the vrm are one of the best or the best design for x299 follow gamersnexus steve and buildzoid youtubers speak about the x299 
    the boards you listed Rampage VI Extreme Omega their vrmdesigh will never come closer to X299

    No, current X299 DARK remain to be a flagship for Skylake-X, there is no need for refresh.
    9980XE working great on it, Vince pushed one to 6GHz already :)

    No, current X299 DARK remain to be a flagship for Skylake-X, there is no need for refresh.
    9980XE working great on it, Vince pushed one to 6GHz already :)

    That's very good it will sweat Asus gigabyte and MSI since their R&D in designing x299 platform is very worst
