So I just ordered myself the X299 Dark and out of all the specs i over looked was the does not support RGD LED. Now does this mean that the board itself does now have any LED's on it, and I can still replace my case fans from the EVGA DG-87 with the 150 bucks worth of Corsair 140mm Red LED's Fans. Most of my new build is from EVGAparts such as my board, my GPU, case, and some of my cooling parts. I myself want to sport EVGA and would love to see the EVGA glow on my 1080 TI, CPU Cooling, and from the side panel. Wouldnt mind also being able to install LED Corsair Ram. Just was wondering some more info on this ,"Although the X299 Dark does not feature RGB LED support, it politely reminds you that you can't see pretty in the Dark. This board is engineered for the ultra-enthusiast, including these features:.".. My main concerns is being able to have LED's on my GPU, Fans, and some of my cooling.

One solution would be an Aqua Computers Aquaero fan controller plus their farbwerk LED module. I realise this is not idea... additional c.EUR 200 cost, but it is a solution if you want some LED bling in your life. I already have an Aquaero, so the additional cost for farbwerk (EUR30) is not a big deal.

There should be no issues adding other RGB products to your X299 Dark, but there is no onboard support for it, such as RGB headers. You still have the option of adding an RGB hub to your system if you would like.

I have an X299 Dark that I just opened and put on the test bench last night with an i9 7900X. I started with 2 8GB DDR4 sticks and went down to 1, but I'm still not seeing any of the digital LED codes or post status.

There are two red LEDs that illuminate red instead of white. According to the test bench labels these are the FIVR and VCC LEDS. I'm not sure what this means in terms of a faulty component? I've replaced the memory and swapped the PSUs (a 1600T2 to a 1600P2), but the LED codes remain. I tried taking the board off of the test bench too and placing it on the anti-static bag in the box, but the LED and post status didn't change. Again, the FIVR_LED and VCC_LEDs stay red when I power on the board. Both 12V CPU cables are connected as well as the main CPU power cable and the additional VGA 12PIN cable.

    Hi Artnapor,

The one farthest in your picture is LED #20 in the manual which is the "+5v PSU power" and should be red.

The one closest in the picture is the #18 LED in the manual which is "FIVR Power Error" as you have mentioned.

Since this is a separate trouble from the Original Post you should make your own thread. The only thing I can suggest is for you to check your CPU pins. Others will most likely chime in when you make your on post.
