It’s a mouse I am very interested in since it seems you don’t see that many MMO/RTS focused mice anymore. This would make this mouse stand out and I think help draw attention to the other mice in the lineup.

Re: X-15 MMO Gaming Mouse 2021/09/08 15:37:01 (permalink)
I just got the X15 today.. Not sure how I feel about it. It doesn't comfortably sit in my hand, and it's hard to pick it up to move it. My Logitech G600 has a rubber grip on the bottom-right side, and I use that with my pinky to easily pick up the mouse and reposition it. The X15 has a very smooth coating, with zero grip.

The side buttons are also a bit mushy and pressing them often requires more force than I'm used to, which has me right click or E-Shift with the fingers on the other side of my hand.

EVGA's Unleash software is quite clunky, and assigning commands takes a long time, as you have to scroll through various levels to find the exact key you want to bind. I'm not a fan of Logitech's G Hub software, but it's miles ahead of this. I also have issues where I've saved profiles, and applied the settings, but when I go back, they are reverted.

I'll give it a week to break it in, but so far, I'm a bit disappointed as I've been waiting for this since the announcement.

Got mine today as well. Buttons 9 and 10 are out of the way. Not finding difficulty with picking the mouse up to reposition. Haven't gotten around to making profiles or seeing if I can do per game profiles. If anyone at EVGA is taking feedback on this mouse you should remove buttons 9 and 10 for your next iteration and make a button finger rest for one button (like the Steelseries Rival 500) and place the other button on the right side of the mouse where your pinky would rest but make it require some force to actuate for both. If you did this the mouse would be perfect.

I agree, just got my x15 today, buttons 9 and 10 are way out of reach for me. Was hoping the x15 was more round unlike the shape of the x17 which actually made my hand and wrist ache after 20mins. But I think I can get used to the x15, that is if I can get the software to function. Never could even get it to stay open when trying with the x17 and the z20 keyboard.

I may suggest to make sure that Windows is fully up to date and you have the most recent .Net framework installed. Then uninstall Unleash and go into your Appdata > EVGA_Co.,_Ltd > delete the Unleash RGB folder. Restart your system and reinstall the most recent version of Unleash again.

Do you have an anti virus that might be trying to say it’s an executable with not many users? Sometimes it’s ok to exclude a file you know is from a trustworthy source like EVGA and see if that helps.

There is a day 1 firmware update. Try unplugging the X15 and launching Unleash. If it stays open then plug in the mouse and unleash would close and the firmware window should open.

Everyone is different and as such this is a subjective issue - I personally love it - it is both light on the downward force to click it but not mushy either, sort of crisp.  For the MMOs I play by the hours (retired now :>) it is perfect for my use.  Hands are not so young - but not too old to appreciate a well sprung mouse.  I also really like the third mouse (ring) button - and ponder why the heck do the other MFG's., not use them?
With the software - some of the best I have used, making it fit me - is turning out to be a fun thing and not a total pain in the brain.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I am - I came here to buy a backup - 'cause you know they will stop making it at some point - and I want a backup or two.
Enjoy!
Remember: "You don't stop playing because you grow old... You grow old because - you stop playing"!
(not my quote)

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." -George Bernard Shaw.
[<font]I am well over 50 and I believe this to be very true, and my proof is a great attitude, good health and lucky enough to have a kind woman to hold the hand, not on the mouse!
