I'd wait at least til the 20th, when we'll likely see good info about the next gen, and even if you don't go for it, it'll only drop current gen prices even more. 1 week wait is worth the time I'd think.

Only an issue if you somehow find some really old stock all issues were addressed & a Mfg change was made ---> Use this tool & check serial number https://www.evga.com/thermalmod/ Now or wait --> depends, if you can I'd wait till end of month & see When the card will hit Retail Launch & available in any meaningful quantity is a whole other issue Pricing of the New 20 series may also be a bigger issue

As we have no idea of who you are, what you do with your system, it would be rather difficult to give any advice...just saying...

We like details, hard to recommend anything in a vacuum What monitor(s) resolution do you use ? What monitor connections does your current / planned monitor support ? What do you do with your PC ? What budget & time frame ? MB, CPU, RAM, PSU the GPU will go in ?

I would say if is in all instances worth waiting until the 20th unless your computer is down. The 1080Ti is a great card and a gamer would be perfectly happy with it but it’s also unlikely the new generation will increase prices unless they announce a release that is far off or if they say it will cost a lot more then a 1080ti.

New release is always a ton more at first as it trickles out. Scalpers dream early on. May take 3 months for the price to settle down after the new card release. . So really if your ready to wait till dec/Jan to wait... may be even longer since usually by now the new card would of been released.. so maybe feb March for prices to chill.. if new cards are released by late oct/,Nov.

I'd normally say just buy as if you wait for the next big release you'll always be waiting due to the nature of the industry the next big thing is always around the corner, however, I'd wait until at least the 20th to see what is announced.

It will for a short time. All the people who currently have a 1080 Ti and wish to always have the best hardware will sell them to buy the new card, so a lot of 1080 Ti will be for sale at the same time and prices will drop. When this flow of 1080 Ti will stop the prices will go back up.

Could you tell me about your expiernce of EVGA Grahics cards? Are those cards good compared to other brands? I'm scared that there are much problems with the 1080 TI FTW 3 cards...

I never had an EVGA graphic card. But in 5 days i'll be trying to buy a 1080ti from evga. That tells you everything :) PS: but i'm also gonna watercool this card with a full cover waterblock in my own custom powerful watercooling loop. I think I wouldn't have bought a card this powerful if i didnt have a powerful watercooling behind. They're so powerful that they release a lot of heat and a lot of problems coming from people using cards like these come from the heat so when you watercool it properly (that means with a real watercooling and full waterblock cover, not AIO kits) you avoid a lot of problems. If you dont already have a custom watercooling i suggest you take the time to put one up. It's time consuming if you have never done it but it's definitively worth it.

The 10 series made the 980ti drop like a rock in prices but Idk how long it was after they came out. And the 20 series may not be as big of a jump as the 10 series was. But i would still wait my self and see if I didn't need a card right away

I do not know if their is a specific "Sale Page" - aka - "Mid Week Madness" for the EU the link I gave does show many GPU that are on sale Might have to ask EVGA directly https://www.evga.com/about/ContactUs/ Ill ask in Discord & PM, see if I can get an answer to that EDIT: Confirmed --> page I linked is all there is for EU sale Not a specific "Sale Page" - aka - "Mid Week Madness page for the EU"

Hi Neutro, Wooww, Hmmmmm I see, No really, I'm a little worried to buy EVGA 1080 TI FTW or an other manufactor because in the past they had heat issue with the thermal pads so im little bit worried to get an card that has much trouble. How is the overall expierence of EVGA cards? are they compared to other manufacters better? How is your findings/expierence on that? Gues what Neutro, ghehe, I have already my CPU watercooled! with an custom loop!!! I'm totaly agree with you buddy. Here take an look at my CPU custom watercooled

For purchasing wait until Monday to see if NVIDIA should decide to release any info. NVIDIA has been teasing 'something' for Monday.
